Living a real identity and also an finding a virtual identity is one of the key questions Kalil Gaby addresses in his 24 pieces of „collective memories of Berlin„.

Now with COVID the memories and personal experiences manifests more and more digitally living virtual moments. Despite meeting others virtual the connections and emotions are real and human. Transferring authenticity recognition and adapting it trough the filters within our bubble.

Kalil (often pronounced Kalio) merges the things we see daily on the streets within the city – posters and advertisements intensify the experience of an influenced vision. We recognize the fragments and feel familiar looking at these references.
